Vessel of Peace

It can be a bit tricky, balancing your desire to be at peace with the everyday responsibilities of life.  You have the awareness and yet, there is still not enough time.  You are like many who suffer from "chronic busyness" cleverly disguised as "multi-tasking" or being "on the go."  You end up feeling overwhelmed and in danger of falling into the trap of not doing anything.  Where do I  begin?

Somehow, you manage to get it done.  And, all things considered, you do a great job.  But the minute things slow down, you begin to contemplate what else needs to be done or beat yourself up over a forgotten task or a phone call you meant to return.

True peace cannot be found outside of yourself.  Being at peace is an attitude that YOU create for yourself.  It is a commitment you make to love yourself, direct the energy of love to others, live in faith and remain open to all of life.  To truly love yourself means honoring all of who you are.  You do not minimize your gifts, exaggerate your abilities or judge your past actions.  Instead, you honor all of who you have been, along the imperfect way to becoming who you are right now.  You respect your limitations and utilize your gifts to experience the fullness of life, while being of service to others.

When you are a vessel of peace, your well-being is not determined by your circumstances or dependent on the personalities of the people you encounter.  Peace will always be within you.
May today there be peace within.
May you trust God that you are exactly where you are meant to be.
May you not forget the infinite possibilities that are born of faith.
May you use those gifts that you have received and pass on the love that has been given to you.
May you be content knowing you are a child of God.
Let this presence settle into your bones and allow  your soul the freedom to sing, dance, praise and love.
It is there for each and every one of us.
-St. Therese of Lisieux

Love to you,
